I'm the villainess so I'm taming the final boss (ep. 1+2)

 I just want to talk about a little bit about some new anime. As you know if you are into anime like I am, there's been a whole new slew of anime and you know it's not all great but it's not all bad either now in order to talk about the episode that I want to talk about I kind of have to go back track a little bit to a show I watched some odd months ago called my next life as a villainous all routes lead to doom. I basically will  just sum it up since I already wrote about it in a previous blog. It was really good I enjoyed the first season and the main character was painfully oblivious to all things romantic it seems like she was so hyper focused on trying not to die in her next life which makes sense. I get it totally understandable, but sometimes she was just a little too painfully oblivious, especially for someone who has already lived a previous life and then died. It was fun to see her change the narrative and make everyone friends who would end up being enemies otherwise. Now for "I'm the villainous so I'm taming the final boss" I reluctantly gave it a shot it took me some time to actually come around to it after it aired, but I think it's really good so far hopefully it stays that way. My next life is a villainous  got another season, which I don't believe it needed one. This is probably where they went sideways for me, but this new anime I like the MC much more for her to want to tame the final boss was interesting the title kind of grabbed me a little bit. I was like is she going to do. Make it her friend, get some sort of beast taming skills or make the final boss a good guy.  The 1st and 2nd episodes I realized that she's actually going to try and marry the final boss because the final boss is a Demon Lord and the brother of who she was suppose to marry. He basically doesn't really understand why she's doing this and it makes sense like it's very out of character for her apparently and it's interesting because it's an actual love story and fun. She does her best to make her self desirable to him, but what she doesn't realize is that he is totally already in love with her. Unlike "Jobless reincarnation" that is pretty serious and it has its own quirkiness to it, but this one is more you know relaxing you know you don't want to think too hard it's a really good pick I don't think I gave too many spoilers with this post, but I do think you should check it out see what you like about it see what you don't like about it and let me know what you think send comments or emails whatever however you want to reach out to me I'd love to hear from the audience and I think I'll probably do episodic posts for this particular anime just to see where it goes and we'll go from there I really do enjoy the anime world so with the whole new slew of anime we'll have so much to talk about and so much that I don't want to talk about haha.

Bananya

*Contains Spoilers*

I can sum this show up in a few sentences but it's not must watch especially if you like bananas, adorable cats, and randomness. The show mainly follows Bananya he is a white cat that lives in a banana. Just thinking about it makes me die from laughter. But the banana is like part of his body it moves with him. And he has friends that get their own episodes but the show is like 5min long and its narrated so nobody on the show talks but the narrator. 

It's simply a must watch it's like watching a reality show of cats in bananas but with way less drama and more adorableness. I still am not sure why me and all my friends continued to watch it it really had no real point but maybe that's why it was so random that it was good. Bananya kept getting into stuff and his dream was to be the best banana sunde. Which I find funny because I think he just thinks the sunde is amazing looking and he loves sweets but if he becomes a sunde he would be the sweet edible that gets eaten. 

Nonetheless I feel that this show was pointlessly amazing and very adorable and if you have 5min give it a shot I'm sure you will be hooked. It's also a good kid show too there isn't anything negative about it.

Double Decker

***SPOLIERS (ONLY A LITTLE BIT)***

So this is suppose to be a tiger and bunny spin off and so far i just love it. All the back and forth jokes how its ridiculous yet serious and cool all at the same time. We will mainly be following Kirill and Doug. They have the tiger and bunny MO a rookie cop and a veteran. I have seen 2 episode both action pack. But we get started off introduced to "Anthem" a drug that alters human DNA. With that the first person we meet is Doug. and its a really cool action scene. The we meet Kirill who seems to now know how to listen to his superiors. Oh Doug is in a special unit called Seven-0 and they only deal with Anthem users at level 2 and up. Kirill is just a normal cop for like 15 minutes of the show then he gets recommended to Seven-0. He almost gets fired at Seven-0 which was hilarious because his boss there is just as stupid as he is.

Episode #1

We are pulled into a crime scene where it looks like law enforcement is totally losing the fight. The human (i think) seem to be able to contort his body at will. Just when it looks like the criminal is about to win, Doug enters and he is literally dodging the criminal while assessing if he is level 1-3. Once he confirms he is level 2 he makes this special bullet and fires it but it totally misses but one of his fellow Seven-0 members saves him, Deana. She seems to be the sniper of the crew. While Doug wields a revolver. After that scene we finally meet Kirill and then it skips to his prescient. Kirill is getting scolded by his boss who I don't think is important at all. His boss is upset because Kirill is always leaving his post to provide "back up" when its not even called for. Then he leaves the office i am assuming which is on his way home and we get to meet Jefferson who is basically the top cop. Fast forward some more it seems to be Kirill's day off and his land lady is asking his to find his cat, well she is actually blackmailing him entirely. So he goes off to find it. I think he finds it rather quickly but realizes the cat had kids so he waits for it to be done in the warehouse he cornered it in, but ends up falling asleep. He wakes up to shooting and screaming. When he looks to assess the situation it seems to be a typical hostage situation but Jefferson is on the floor in pain and then Jefferson gets shot. Right her I literally thought Jefferson was dead, but we will get to that later. This is where Kirill and Doug meet.

Honestly this was a good first look at the first episode its a total buddy cop show. If you like that kind of show this is for you. I want you all to experience the rest on your own without my influence.

My next life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to doom!

I liked this Anime simply because it was simple. It followed all its own rules while tying in comedy and a bit of romance. It is an Isakai but the show quickly dismissed this. Our main character Catarina is the exact opposite of Who she was before she reincarnated. Our girl's main goal was simply to keep the peace and she actually succeeded. she actually did a little too well, all the people that were supposed to hate her genuinely fell in love with her. Did I mention this is one of those :trapped in a video game the main character knows" kind of anime. I'm sure I didn't so apologies. Honestly there are too many names to remember and they don't matter because Catarina has more of an effect on their lives than her own. She is simply changing the narrative by being herself, which I personally admire. How many people can say they went somewhere new and changed the whole vibe by being them and not even forcing themselves. Now I found my self drawn to this because it was funny and cute. With that I can see how she will end up with nobody. Not because she simply wants it that way, but because the writers enjoy the fans shipping her with basically any one in the show. I can respect this, it's a show you leave to the fans. So with much hate I would want her with her fiancé Geordo. He would be my pick. He is strong, caring, and would also let her be her despite what she thinks and that is beautiful to me. Well that's all from me!

I have officially watched both seasons now of this I loved the first season and could probably do without the second season. The first season was fresh, raunchy, adult rated, and interesting problems that I actually cared about. Overall they made me care which is just good writing and directing. The first season made me sit on the edge of my seat for a nice little Slice of Life with some romance in some comedy in it and like the one with a slight bit of mystery because we're trying to figure out who murdered who which is pretty intense might I say for high school students. After watching the first season I was so excited that they greenlit a second season almost immediately I was ready I thought it was going to be more of the same if not better more character development some cool new plots but instead second season fell short. When I watch the second season I felt uninterested. They didn't nurture the relationship between our main character and his female co-star. Instead of seem like they focus more on our main character becoming more manly and into bro love. He also wasn't eating meat which is very strange for a carnivore because it turned him White, well not really because he's a gray wolf and if you were to shave a gray wolf they be mainly white under. To see Louis which is naturally herbivore was eating meat as well which is strange too. He basically dropped out of high school to run a makeshift lion Yakuza, which was just so left field for me. For him to just completely drop out of school and think that he needed to change the world on the outside and school wasn't helping him do that was just crazy to me. I'm going to assume that Louis is maybe about 18. What makes him think that he can go to a the gang and change the world for the better our main character doesn't do any better either how does him not eating meat and just somewhat trying to befriend all the herbivores make the world better for them. Now I know what you're going to say well he's treating the herbivores with respect yes and no he is depriving himself of his own Instinct his natural habits which hurt himself and if mutual respect is what was needed in this world then now the herbivores are not respecting him. At the end when Louis gave our main character his leg to eat it was mutual respect but I just feel like there were other ways to do that it was almost like the story was telling me mutual respect is actually an herbivore giving itself to its friend and I just don't feel like that was the right point. Now while all this was going on are cute adorable bunny Haru was left out of the entire season most of which I explained was the entire 2nd season. I feel like that's poor writing like you didn't know what story you wanted to tell and got greenlit for an anime that you didn't know it was going to get greenlit for another season. Also what kind of school has security for a snake which is known to be a very sneaky character/creature didn't know who committed the murder until season 2. Actually I don't even think that the security found out Legoshi did and then try to fight a full-on bear which of course he would lose that fight in a heartbeat on top of being malnourished the fight was pointless and stupid. I didn't really care to watch it. It was a losing battle even when he ingested some actual meat via his best friend, Louis he's still got his ass beat. Also why were the police not called. The bear was 18 which makes him an adult. If they follow some semblance of our laws. Now I'm definitely a lover of anime and I really do hope the best for this anime, I think it was rushed out by higher powers like most anime these days. Despite everything I genuinely hope they got greenlit for another season I haven't looked into it yet to see but I hope they do and I hope they take their time and don't rush it so then we don't have plot holes and weird storylines and leave the viewer simply uninterested. I know this artist and director can do better because they've shown me in season 1 so I look forward to whatever might get greenlit in the future for them. Who knows maybe I'm wrong this is definitely an unfinished story and I have an issue with reading what I'm watching I just can't do it I love my manga collection but none of it is what I've already watched except berserk you just have to collect that.

I found myself strangely drawn to this anime. There were moments where the main Character Kaiman would just annoy me to no ends. Then the anime would flip the switch and I would just be so amazed at the concept of the world. As I did overall enjoy this anime I do think the writer forgot about certain things like how he started off with 2 different world settings. We were introduced to the "Hole" and also another realm where the sorcerers live, but I think part way through it all just became one realm. I didn't really don't have much else to say about this I sounded strangely alluring and I definitely would watch another season of it which I think is coming or at least got greenlit but it's just one of those anime is that it was so bad but also good. If we focus more on Nikaido I would so be more into it her character has more depth and I hope they explore it. I think another season would decide for me if I really enjoy it or not, I think I am still up in the air.

Re:Zero Starting life in another world

I absolutely love love love this anime. I definitely jumped on this bandwagon really late I remember getting stickers for them in a mystery box that I bought at Anime Expo in 2016 looking back at them now I'm genuinely sad that I didn't keep all of them. I enjoyed just about every single season the story was there all the deaths that Subaru experienced even the convoluted way of trying to think ahead for him I was totally hooked on this anime. It was so good my boyfriend even got in on it which let's say people is very difficult he likes anime but he is very strict with what he likes. However the final season which I will give benefit of the doubt because it was also finished during covid and also delayed during covid I think they rushed it out because they needed to finish it maybe under contract I haven't looked into all this stuff but it felt rushed and a little unfinished. The story basically ends with a few things unsolved. We got introduced to a new villainous team and then didn't really hear from them afterwards except for when we were in flashbacks. We also lost a character, Rem that some shipped with our main character Subaru. She was basically MIA the entire time. Maybe that voice actor couldn't come due to covid but it was strange and for our main character to be happy that she stayed this way the entire season. Our main characters girl, Emilia made him a knight which was cool after everything was done. That was something that he wanted to do in season 1 but by no means do I feel like that was the end nothing besides that was resolved. People's memories were gone the hero didn't save the day nor did it feel like an actual lost either because the hero doesn't always need to save the day with that I do hope that they do a OVA or another season just to wrap it up or to pick up where they left off and fill in some weird questions that they left. This anime feels unresolved and I think the creators know that. We were all experiencing the pandemic and I think they worked with what they had and did their absolute best and I respect them for that. I also hope that they get another season so we can have some questions answered and it doesn't feel rushed you know when the world heals. I don't have much else to say about this other than I think you should watch it and my review of it if I did it from start to finish would do it no justice but I definitely recommend this one and maybe wait till another season gets put up on Crunchyroll.

Morbius

I don't understand why the world needs to hate on Jared Leto. I think he's a very well-rounded actor and does his role to a T. It's not like he's some sort of blanket actor like Tom Cruise who can only do action movies and make the same face in every movie and scene he's in. Jared Leto actually takes his time to learn his character and there's such a difference between his Joker and Morbius. They very different characters and he proves it.

 Now moving onto the movie I genuinely enjoyed the movie from start to finish. I will say that I am probably a little biased because I am huge on vampires I can watch almost any vampire movie and love it. Hell if I can be one I would. The only thing that I think bothered me was that it was an origin story. Now wait wait wait, hear me out before you just start throwing shame at me, like some cheese shame wizard (yes, a Big Mouth reference). I am genuinely just tired of our superheroes having origin stories. I feel like all of those origin hero movies, especially the ones owned by Disney should be on Disney+. They are going to be the same type of story rinse and repeat. Our hero is going to be normal, have some sort of ailment, or weakness. Then they get stronger by something and then on top of that they're going to not know how to use their powers and fuck up a lot and something or someone that is close to them is going to push them forward because now that someone or something starts to act villainous and they realized they can change the world and not themselves, boom hero born. I genuinely rather see Heroes be heroes when it comes to the big screen that is. Now don't get me wrong I thoroughly enjoyed Morbius like I said. The directors actually paid homage to his original colors towards the tail end of the movie. The story also flowed very well I was not confused I was not lost on any part. They did seem to gloss over a few things like as soon as his girlfriend turned we didn't see any more of that or her I'm sure that's just the setup though for the next movie. Also how his friend decided to take a vial without us knowing but I think that was cool and part of the mystery because we were wondering if our main character was actually killing people that were close to him. But I can understand the director's point of not immediately telling the viewer about any of these things it would almost kind of start to feel like he was being blatantly obvious as if to say the viewer was unintelligent. As I'm sure i can speak for most viewers we don't want to feel that way at least not anymore. So I can simply respect the creative decision to gloss over a few things. In conclusion overall I would give this movie an 8 out of 10. If I wasn't a vampire fan maybe a seven and a half out of 10. Again my only reason for not giving it full marks was simply because it was just another origin story and I'm already wanting more from that character.
